Numerical Analysis of Steam Ejector Performance with Non-Equilibrium Condensation for Refrigeration Applications

In recent years, there has been great interest in developing cooling systems with humidity- and temperature-independent control capabilities that can operate efficiently at varying temperatures. This paper proposes a bi-loop double-evaporator ejection–compression cycle, which utilizes low-grade heat is suitable for the construction industry. The proposed cycle involves concurrent operation of vapor compression an ejector refrigeration enables it to handle altered pressure levels ratios all way common condenser pressure. Conventional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approaches often model steam as ideal gas single-phase flow. contrast, this research employs wet optimize geometry. takes into account non-equilibrium water condensation, thus providing more precise assessment spontaneous condensation behavior its impact on performance. When compared conventional dry model, use dramatically decreases entrainment ratio error from 16.24% 3.92% when experimental data. study concentrates four critical attributes steam, including Mach number, droplet nucleation rate, average radius, liquid mass fraction, develop strategy enhancing performance efficiency. demonstrates optimal area primary nozzle diameter are 5 2.4, respectively. Increasing mitigates intensity, thereby reducing fraction diffuser. Overall, provides valuable insights improving optimizing performance, highlighting importance considering design modeling.
